John Edwards endorsed Barry… Whoop-dee-doo…
In the most overrated story of the week, John Edwards officially gave his support to Barry. Excuse me while I yawn for a minute. How anyone thinks his endorsement means anything in the long run is beyond me. He was a one term senator who knew he would not be reelected to his seat and ran for president, where he proceeded to get smacked in the 2004 primary. His run as Kerry’s VP was disgraceful, with his comments about Cheney’s daughter and Christopher Reeve would walk again if Kerry were elected. Even Bob Shrum, mister oh for every campaign he has run, thought the guy was a jackass. His run this time around was even worse, as he shed his Opie act and became angry John. Angry John got bounced quickly from the primary and hid behind his wife whenever anyone said anything critical about him.
Wow, Barry is really raking in the big guns, isn’t he? All he needs now is Al Gore and Carter and he can proudly say he has every single big loser in the last 40 years in his corner.
