Bill “Judas” Richardson has an excellent point
I was cruising the blog over at Townhall.com and came across this tidbit from the lovely and talented Amanda Carpenter on Bill Richardson responding to James Carville. In the Washington Post, Richardson had this to say: “Carville and others say that I owe President Clinton’s wife my endorsement because he gave me two jobs. Would someone who worked for Carville then owe his wife, Mary Matalin, similar loyalty in her professional pursuits?” (emphasis Carpenter’s)
This quote really gets to the heart of Hillary’s entitlement issues. Anyone who worked with the Clinton’s and now happens to back another candidate is automatically a backstabbing traitor. But are they really? Couldn’t it be possible that they truly believed in Bill Clinton but never bought into what Hillary was selling?
I think Carville also needs to look at how this disdain for the Clintons within their own party originated. It came about because Clinton ruined his legacy by fooling around with an intern. It came about because he perjured himself and obstructed justice. It came about because they have sought to personally and professionally destroy everyone in their path.
Perhaps their greatest fault is a lack of understanding of how human relationships work. Your friends will only stand beside you while you make outlandish claims and reckless decisions for so long. After a while, even the most loyal friend will cut you loose when they realize you will never change.
